Born in Cuba in 1820, she will get 6 children from a first mariage with a french colonist: Benjamin Starck. After his death, she will marry Auguste Samanos and will have three additional children. This book is a summary of the thousend of letters that Leda (nickname of Louise Isabelle Prudence Reynaud de Belleville) has kept during her live. All these letters have been found in August 2006, in the Samanos's house, located in South West of France, house which is from 1668, and which is belonging to the family since 2 centuries.
